Chinese carriers count losses

Hainan Airlines and Shanghai Airlines have both recorded third-quarter losses, Bloomberg has reported. Hainan saw a deficit of CNY260.8 million (US$38.1 million) for the three-month period, while Shanghai Airlines’ loss was CNY437.4 million, according to company statements.
China Southern Airlines, Air China, and China Eastern Airlines have all posted Q3 losses after battling with high jet fuel prices and visa restrictions.
