A zoo in China has placed two tigers, a lion and dozens of goats outside the main entrance to a neighbouring velodrome in a dispute over land. According to a Henan Business Daily report, the City Zoo in Zhengzhou, Henan province, is angry that land lent to the velodrome in 1985 was never returned, and its protest was designed to highlight the desperate lack of space for its animals.
A zoo spokesperson said that the zoo had resorted to the animal-dumping protest after hearing the local sports bureau planned to sell the land to a real estate developer.
