CityJet has announced it will launch two new routes in Germany and restructured fares as part of its winter schedule launch.
The airline, which flies from London City Airport, will launch daily flights to Munster-Osnabruck on 29 October followed by twice daily services to Nuremburg from 27 January 2013.
“The Munster-Osnabruck service has had good forward bookings and better than our previous launches,” said Andre Cini, chief commercial officer of CityJet at a press conference today. “There is huge opportunity in Germany as it is a big business and convention destination and more cities could be served from London City.”
The new routes were announced with a restructured fares system which includes three levels – CityValue, CityFlex and CityPremium. Each fare has different inclusions and has been a result of on-going research with CityJet’s customers.
“The CityFlex fares are there primarily for SMEs and corporations as they tend to book seven to eight days in advance and means they have the flexibility to change if they need to, and also it is in economy to keeps the price lower,” explained Cini. Christine Ourmières, CEO of CityJet added that the fares added transparency to its prices. “Corporations will have access to these fares from booking tools so it is a fantastic move forward,” she told Travel Daily. “We work closely with our parent company Air France KLM with the trade and CityJet is highly appreciated due to accessibility, experience and that we do not disappoint.”
The airline also unveiled new uniforms today designed by Christian Lacroix which will be worn by staff and crew from 1 December. In addition it launched a new website and is looking to introduce a new marketing campaign in January.
