COMO Hotels and Resorts will be opening COMO Echo Beach in February 2018, a new beachside resort on Bali’s south coast.
This will be the travel group’s third property on the island and 14th in total, with other locations including Miami Beach, Bhutan, Western Australia and Bangkok. Featuring 119 keys including rooms, suites, one- and twobedroom residences and threebedroom duplex penthouses with individual rooftop pools, COMO Echo Beach is located on 2.2 acres of land in Canggu, a coastal village and six-mile long beach, seven miles from Seminyak.
The design team here has worked with COMO before; Koichiro Ikebuchi worked on COMO’s two Bali locations (COMO Uma Ubud was his first resort project) and Paola Navone designed COMO Point Yamu, Phuket, and COMO Metropolitan Miami Beach. Landscape designer Trevor Hillier has also worked with COMO in the Caribbean, Bali and Bhutan.
The COMO Shambhala Retreat has seven treatments rooms (five singles and two doubles) and offers the signature COMO Shambhala Massage, deep tissue massage, yoga and Pilates classes, and personal training in the gym. A major aspect of COMO Echo Beach are the surf opportunities, in partnership with Tropicsurf.
Veteran surfers will be satisfied with the large rides found to the right of COMO Echo Beach, while novices can learn the basics under an expert eye on calmer waves. COMO Echo Beach can organise walking tours, golf excursions, and adventures into Bali accompanied by English-speaking guides.
Javier Beneyto is the appointed pre-opening General Manager of COMO Each Beach, having led the opening of COMO Metropolitan.
