Contiki Holidays has announced Thomas Cook India has its new sales agent in India.
The partnership will see Thomas Cook India promote youth travel to outbound destinations. “We are extremely excited with the partnership and by working with Thomas Cook (India), we hope to continue encouraging more youths to start travelling and see the world as we believe that we have one life, one shot, so we have to make every moment count. We saw a huge growth in India this year and with Thomas Cook coming on board as a partner, we hope to grow India as one of the top market in Asian youth tourism,” said Kevin Khor, Head of Sales and Marketing at Contiki Asia.
“At Thomas Cook India, we have observed the growth of not just the youth but also the youthful Indian traveller. Their hunger for unconventional, experiential travel was the genesis of our youth product, Rock-On Holidays. Our recently conducted ‘Through the Crystal Ball’ survey reiterates the impact of India’s Gen Y, with 72% of young Indians emphatically stating their intent to travel on holiday despite the economy of Rupee volatility,” said Shibani Phadkar, Senior Vice President & Head of Leisure Travel (Outbound) Products, Contracting, Operations & Tour Management at Thomas Cook (India) Ltd.
