London, 9 November 2009 - Continental Airlines today unveiled its new flat-bed BusinessFirst seat at World Travel Market, the first time the seat has been displayed outside North America.
The seat made its operational debut on a Boeing 777 flight from Hong Kong to Continental’s New York hub, Newark Liberty International Airport, on 1 November 2009. In addition to its 777 fleet, the company will also install the flat-bed seats on its Boeing 757-200 and 767-400 aircraft, and on its Boeing 787 fleet as those aircraft are delivered to Continental.
Dave Hilfman, Continental’s Senior Vice President Worldwide Sales, unveiled the seat at World Travel Market and said: “This new flat bed seat takes our award-winning BusinessFirst service to an even higher level. Its state-of-the-art design and features are the result of extensive research with customers, corporate buyers and experts, and the new seat re-affirms BusinessFirst’s status as the world’s best business class. It is further evidence that Continental continues to invest in improving our product as we strive to offer our customers the very best in comfort, amenities and value.”
