Italian cruise operator Costa Cruises has announced the launch of a new concept of cruising it has named ‘neoCollection’.
The idea behind the initiative is a ‘slow cruise’ experience with longer stays in port, including overnight stays, and itineraries with destinations inaccessible to bigger ships.
The cruises will be offered on the ‘neoRiviera’ and ‘neoRomantica’ which have 624 and 789 cabins respectively.
The neoCollection will launch on 9 February and will also see the company introduce shore excursions tailored for small groups and a new food offering based on each destination.
Initially being rolled out on the 62-night Grand African Tour, the cruises will eventually be introduced to 12-day Mediterranean sailings departing Savona on the neoRiviera and 13-day Northern Capitals cruises on the neoRomantica.
