Cox & Kings strengthens presence in the sports segment

Cox & Kings Ltd recently entered into an agreement with LFC E.L.I.T.E.S (Education and Learning Initiative Training Entrepreneurs in Sport). E.L.I.T.E.S is a global education and training partnership between Liverpool Football Club and London School of Business & Finance (LSBF). With this agreement, Cox and Kings will now be able to promote and sell combined educational and football programmes across UAE.
The residential programme designed to give students a chance to learn to play ‘the Liverpool Way’, as the same time also focusing on improving their English language skills. The package caters for children aged 11-17 who can attend the campus in England for anything from one week to eight weeks.
Talking to Travel Daily Middle East, Ravi Menon, vice president, Cox & Kings Ltd said: “We plan to aggressively forge into this segment. We are confident that children in UAE looking for exposure in such activities. Having established ourselves in this segment, we are also looking at launching more programmes for children. Our target this season is to send at least 500 children between July-August this year. Looking ahead, post establishing ourselves in the UAE, we may consider rolling out the initiative to Oman and Bahrain.”
Each full programme is for two weeks and costs approximately GBP1170 per week. The fees will include English Language Tuition, professional coaching from Liverpool Football Club Coaches, on-site accommodation and all meals among others. The other inclusions are an LFC certification and graduation, evening activities and weekend excursions, including an exclusive behind the scenes tour to LFC’s home ground Anfield, as well as complimentary LFC E.L.I.T.E.S football kit.
