Cruise & Maritime Voyages (CMV) has launched a ‘Special Gala Menu’ of new commission earning opportunities for UK travel agents. Agents can now earn up to 16% commission with the cruise line on bookings made between now and 30 September for cruises departing between December 2011 and October 2012. Basic commission has increased to 12.5% with a bonus 2.5% for ocean view cabin bookings. Agents can also earn 1% commission for online bookings. in addition, CMV has pledged to offer no discounts to clients who book directly online and early booking discounts of 25% are available for agents. , “Retail travel is our fastest growing distribution sector and one we certainly do not take for granted,” said Chris Coates, commercial director of CMV. “We very much value the traditional and important role travel agents plays in selling and marketing our cruising holidays and we also understand the ongoing challenges faced by agents.
