Luxury cruise operator Crystal Cruises has revealed details of its experience packages for its Grand Prix-themed Mediterranean cruise in May 2013.
The cruise, which will be onboard the Crystal Serenity, will give guests the opportunity to experience the Monaco Grand Prix in one of three ways as well as a further excursion giving access to the official VIP after party.
The three race options are access to the team area paddock, a private balcony above the casino to watch the Grand Prix or access to the best position on the grandstand – right by the start/ finish line.
“At Crystal, luxury and choice are two of our biggest brand definers,” said Philip Ordever, Crystal’s vice president of international sales and marketing. “With the Monaco Grand Prix considered one of the most exciting events in the world, we planned a cruise that would not only take our guests there, but also bring them inside, with a variety of incredible options to enjoy the festivities.”
Each package will also include fine dining, racing experts on hand to escort guests to and from events. Two of the options will also include champagne, an open bar and indoor and outdoor areas.
Prices for the excursions range from US$829 to US$14,199 per person.
The VIP afterparty will take place in the Amber Lounge – with a table and unlimited Don Perignon champagne, three-course meal, cocktails and transfers back to the ship included.
The 12-night cruise will also take in Istanbul, Mykonos, Santorini, Corsica, Florence and Barcelona.
