CX increases Sydney flights

Whenthe new Sydney services begin, Cathay Pacificwill operate a total of 25 flights each week to the city and a total of 58weekly flights from Hong Kong to Australia.
CXsaid the additional flights will provide more options for passengers travellingto and from Australia’sbiggest city.
Thenew CX161 service, operated by an A330-300 aircraft in a three-classconfiguration, will depart on Monday, Tuesday, Thursdayand Saturday from Hong Kong at 21.20, arriving in Australia at 09.30 the following morning.The new flight supplementsthe existing earlymorning, early-evening and late-night departures. In Julythis year, Cathay Pacific announceda substantial boost to its Australiaservices with additional flights to three major cities.
Melbourne will move to a three-times-dailyservice from 1 October; Adelaidewill go from four flights a week to a dailyservice on the same date; and Perthgets an extra flight every Sunday from 28 October, moving to five flights aweek.
