Daredevil tight-rope walks across Niagara Falls
A man has completed a televised tight-rope walk across Niagara Falls.
The BBC reported that Nik Wallenda traversed the 550-metre crossing from the US to Canada on a wire only 61mm wide, suspended 46 metres above the swirling water below.
Wallenda is the seventh generation of the famed Flying Wallendas – a family of daredevils that has performed death-defying stunts for more than 200 years.
The latest stunt is the first such feat over Niagara Falls in more than a century. On arrival in Canada, Wallenda – a US citizen – was asked to hand over his US passport.
