New data is showing up potential debris from the missing Malaysia Airlines flight MH370 in the southern Indian Ocean.
After what has been a weekend of further investigation in an off Western Australia, France’s foreign ministry said there was potential debris around 2, 300 kilometres from the coast of Perth.
The sighting is the third possible revealed within a week, with the search concentrating in an area north-west in the Malacca Straits and one to the south-west, according to the BBC.
The flight disappeared more than two weeks ago on 8 March, with officials believing the aircraft was deliberately taken off course.
Although radars are showing up images of the potential debris, so far ships and aircraft sent to the areas have not found ‘anything of significance’.
Relatives and friends of those on board are still waiting for news in hotels in Beijing and Malaysia.
