DeG, DTCM explore tourism eServices

In an effort to enhance tourism services, HE Ahmed Bin Humaidan, director general of Dubai eGovernment (DeG) Department met director-general, HE Hilal Saeed Al Marri of the Department of Tourism and Commerce Marketing (DTCM) looking to work closely to enhance government connectivity for the tourist sector.
The meeting discussed means of further developing their relations and supporting DTCM’s efforts towards eTransformation, while discussing role that DeG could play to develop its eServices provided to government entities with the aim of serving the tourist sector and contribute to easing needs and transaction of visitors to Dubai.
Bin Humaidan said: “This meeting highlighted enhanced government connectivity through exchanging expertise with DTCM and coordinating efforts to support the emirate’s growing tourist sector with more eServices.”
Recently, DTCM signed a joint agreement for settling fees of the tourist sector’s transactions and easing its procedures via DeG’s ePay portal, helping public save the trouble of visiting its headquarters for direct payment of fees.
