Delhi to host India-Japan tourism event

A large event concentrating boosting tourism between India and Japan will be held at the Ashok Hotel, New Delhi, on 13 January. Anil Mathur reports that over 100 travel industry professionals, mainly agents, operators and officials from Japan, are expected to attend the event, which is backed by the UNWTO, as well as both India and Japan’s the Tourism Ministries.
The India Tourism Development Corporation and the Embassy of Japan in India are also closely involved with the symposium that will be held during the meet. Many delegates are expected to travel to other parts of India.
Japan is aiding several tourism and infrastructure projects in India, with several Japanese companies being involved in joint ventures in the country.
