Dertour has witnessed a 40 percent rise in bookings to Prague, Budapest and Paris through its travel agent partners. The tour operator has attributed the trend to its technology upgrade last year, which has allowed Dertour to take advantage of the products and buying power offered by parent company REWE Touristik Group. “Many travel agents may only associate the Dertour name with Germany, Switzerland and Austria, however a large part of our business is tailor-made city breaks across Europe and, as we have such great buying power because of our parent company REWE Touristik, we are delighted that Prague, Budapest and Paris bookings are proving so popular,” said Tim Locke, head of marketing at Dertour. “We need more agents to recognise that we can help them with city breaks across Europe.”
