The new GLAD Hotel Yeouido has become Design Hotels‘ second member in South Korea.
Located in Seoul‘s high-rise district of Yeouido, the hotel features a brick patterned exterior that makes it stand out from its glass and steel neighbours, plus interior design that is described as “brutalist”.
The 319 rooms are spread across eight room categories, ranging from 23-48m² in size and featuring under-floor heating, surround sound speakers and 42-inch flat-screen LCD TVs. The suites also have traditional Korean yo beds.
The hotel’s bar, Mark T, includes an extensive collection of single malt whiskeys, while the Greets restaurant and café offers a fusion of Korean, Chinese and Japanese cuisine. There is also a 420-pax capacity banqueting hall, plus an ‘Editorial Room’ and ‘Creative Lounge’ suitable for smaller meetings.
GLAD Hotel Yeouido joins Design Hotels’ first member in Korea, The Nest Hotel in Incheon.
