Destination hotel The White Horse set to open in Dorking

With a £4 million renovation well underway, Bespoke Hotels is set to unveil a new destination hotel in Dorking in December.

The relaunch of the former coaching inn and its new dining concept The Dozen is underway, with general manager Beccy Gunn already onboard with new waitresses, kitchen porter, supervisor, and deputy general manager to join the team. A new restaurant & bar manager and kitchen team are also set to start at the beginning of November, alongside head chef Gavin Chilcott.

The White Horse has 56 bedrooms and one-bedroom suites, available for stays from January 2018. Positioned in Surrey, it is within easy reach of Denbies Vineyards, The Norbury Blue Cheese Co, Dorking Brewery, Dorking Golf Club and Betchworth Park Golf Course.

“The redevelopment of the historic and well known White Horse in the centre of Dorking is a great benefit to the town and local area. With a fantastic central location, visitors will easily be able to make use of the new facilityies within the hotel including its food & drink offering”, said Anna Tomkins from Visit Surrey.

“With a large number of accommodation rooms, it will be able to attract visitors who would like to explore Dorking and the wider area further, allowing them to easily discover the Surrey Hills and local attractions. Dorking is a historic market town and having an up to date hotel right in the centre of town is a great benefit to both residents and local businesses.”
