Disney admits Shanghai theme park plans

Walt Disney Co. said it was preparing to submit plans to Beijing to build a theme park in Shanghai, but stressed no deal has been reached, an AFP report said.
The report said that after months of denying a deal was imminent, the entertainment giant had now acknowledged it has worked on a joint application report with Shanghai, but said it was still in the proposal stages.
“No deal has been agreed to, no project has been approved,” Disney spokesperson, Leslie Goodman, was quoted saying.
Disney declined to say whether the application had been completed or when it might be submitted. Previous reports said the park could be built on a 10km
