Travel management company Diversity Travel has opened a base in Australia to provide more hours of support to its clients.
The firm, which specialises in the charity, academic and not-for-profit sectors, will be able to offer more help and advice with the base in another time zone to its London and Manchester offices.
It has also launched a new emergency support protocol that means clients will be alerted within 30 minutes if there is an incident that could affect their travel plans.
Managing director of Diversity Travel, Christopher Airey said: “The opening of the Australian office will be instrumental in serving clients from around the world along with extending our service offering to UK-based clients, with more staff working outside standard office hours.
“This global presence is of even greater importance to us after winning the Save the Children account, comprising 52 offices worldwide.”
Diversity Travel currently works with around 2,000 clients which also include ActionAid, the Salvation Army and Tearfund.
For the year up to March 2014 it saw revenues climb 39% from GBP24.7 million to GBP34.4 million while its staff member count jumped from 22 to 89.
