Hotel technology developer DOCOMO interTouch has debuted its latest hospitality enterprise solution, FREEDOM Internet v1.2. The cloud-based solution is designed to enable hotels to improve their operational efficiency, better manage IT hardware investment and offer services that differentiate themselves from competitors. The application allows hoteliers to consolidate their disparate guest and back office LAN infrastructure onto a single, centralised platform, which can be either implemented onsite or as an above property deployment in a private cloud. An above property deployment is designed to reduce costs by minimising hardware and by reducing energy consumption at each site. The technology boasts a simplified mobile user interface to seamlessly support smartphones, regardless of the operating system. The application also allows the hotel guests to concurrently connect up to eight multiple devices to the Web with one Internet access purchase, along with simplified authentication and access and simplified single billing. The application includes bandwidth usage control that allows the hotel management to pre-determine settings for each guest room. Hotel management can leverage the flexibility provided by FREEDOM Internet to introduce a customised purchase page presentation that shows streamlined Web access log-in and additional broadband bandwidth pricing options. This approach allows hotels to integrate their brand voice to ensure brand consistency at every touch point within the premises. Charles Reed, CEO, DOCOMO interTouch, said: “We have the solutions and the tools to help hoteliers meet their operational challenges, and to deliver high-quality broadband Internet applications that meet hotel guests’ ever-growing communications demands. We are confident that our FREEDOM Internet application will enable both hoteliers and their guests to get more things done without expending additional resources.”
