Doncaster College, Holiday Inn Express Doncaster and Omni Group – Omni Facilities Management have launched a partnership that enables BTEC Hospitality students to gain work experience in a fully commercial hotel as part of their studies.
To launch the partnership, students were welcomed by the hotel and housekeeping team for an initial induction day with a packed agenda.
As well as covering Health & Safety, hands-on cleaning and bed making activities, the students also enjoyed a question and answer session with Joanne Cutt, General Manager of Holiday Inn Express Doncaster, and her team.
Karen van den Burg and Christoph Hoffmann delivered the training on behalf of The Omni Group – Omni Facilities Management. They said: “We are delighted to work with a group of engaged students who show a real willingness to learn and to experience the work housekeeping operations perform on a daily basis.”
