Hilton Worldwide has continued the rapid expansion of its DoubleTree brand in China, with the opening of a new hotel in Suzhou, Anhui province.
The 23-storey DoubleTree by Hilton Anhui-Suzhou marks the brand’s entry into Anhui province, and becomes the fourth new DoubleTree to open in the country in the last few months, following the launch of the DoubleTree by Hilton Jiaxing in October, the DoubleTree by Hilton Wuhu in November, and the DoubeTree by Hilton Hangzhou East earlier this month.
“Located at the point where China’s two major economic zones interchange, Suzhou in Anhui province has enjoyed rapid economic development in recent years. We are confident that DoubleTree by Hilton Anhui-Suzhou will showcase our support for the region’s development,” said Bruce McKenzie, Hilton’s senior vice president of operations for Greater China & Mongolia.
“This year marks Hilton Worldwide’s 25th anniversary in China and the opening of DoubleTree by Hilton Anhui-Suzhou is the latest welcome addition to our portfolio.”
Located in the Bianhe New Developing Zone, DoubleTree by Hilton Anhui-Suzhou features 301 rooms, five restaurants, a 24-hour fitness centre, outdoor pool and spa. There is also more than 1,820m² of meeting space, including a 1,030m² ballroom, nine function rooms and a 24-hour business centre.
DoubleTree by Hilton Anhui-Suzhou becomes the brand’s 17th hotel in China.
