Dragonair to launch flights to Danang
Dragonair has announced plans to launch a new service to Danang.
From 28 March 2013, the Hong Kong-based airline will commence three weekly flights to the central Vietnamese city, every Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday. All flights will be operated using a single-aisle Airbus A320 aircraft.
“Vietnam is becoming an increasingly important business and tourism destination and we are very excited about strengthening our presence in the country. Our new Danang service will facilitate more tourist traffic between Hong Kong and Vietnam and further boost Hong Kong’s role as a major international aviation hub,” said Dragonair’s CEO, Patrick Yeung.
Dragonair currently flies 10 times a week between to Hanoi, while sister airline Cathay Pacific operates 16 weekly flights to Ho Chi Minh City.
The Danang launch continues a period of rapid expansion for Dragonair. Already this year it has launched two new routes, with services to Zhengzhou and Yangon commencing on 8 and 9 January 2013 respectively. Flights to Wenzhou will commence on 25 January.
