Dubai Motor Festival to kick off

Dubai Festivals and Retail Establishment announced the formation of a new festival. Under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, the inaugural ‘Dubai Motor Festival’. The event is scheduled from 5-9 November 2013.
The event is aimed at attracting motor enthusiasts from across the region and adding further activities for tourists and residents. The Dubai Grand Parade will see streets of Dubai come alive with a convoy of super luxury and classic cars and bikes. There will also be the Redbull Middle East Car Park Drift Championship.
His Excellency Helal Saeed Almarri, director general, Dubai’s Department of Tourism and Commerce Marketing, and CEO, Dubai World Trade Centre said: “The Dubai International Motor Show has fuelled the evolution of the motor industry in the region for more than two decades. With the 2013 edition of the Show expected to attract more than 100,000 visitors, this was the right time to capitalise on its success.”
