Dubai will soon have its own tropical rainforest in an effort to attract tourism from all over the world.
The tropical ecosystem has been announced by DAMAC Properties. The educational and cultural dome will be housed within the AKOYA Oxygen master development community. As per plans, the Dubai Rainforest will fast become a key attraction within the emirate’s integrated tourism plans.
“The Dubai Rainforest joins that list of unique attractions which will support growth of the city,” said Ziad El Chaar, managing director, DAMAC Properties. “The Rainforest will provide a new space for education and cultural events which will raise awareness of the ecosystem.”
The Dubai Rainforest will sit adjacent to the Trump World Golf Clubhouse, part of an open-air walkway of high-end retail and entertainment offering, for residents and visitors to the AKOYA by DAMAC community.
Once completed, visitors will be able to take a journey through the jungle, climbing on to a canopy and learn about flora and fauna throughout the habitat. There will also be a natural-looking rock face climbing wall.
