Dull and Boring to join forces
The Scottish village of Dull is hoping to forge links with a US town called Boring.
According to Orange News, the partnership came about after a Dull resident visited Boring, Oregon, on a cycling holiday. She sent pictures and a message back home and official contact was made.
Dull councillor Marjorie Keddie said the tie-up could offer “real benefits”. “Everyone has been smiling at the prospect of the eye-catching road sign this will require,” she was quoted saying.
Tourism agency VisitScotland said the move was yet more evidence of the world-famous Scottish sense of humour.
