Bangkok-based hotel group Dusit International has revealed plans to expand in the EMEA region after signing a new hotel in Tunisia.
The hotel company is looking for new management contracts in key cities across Europe, the Middle East and Africa with ‘new projects welcome’.
It comes after it signed a contract for the new Dusit Thani Samara Sousse in Tunisia, due to open in mid-2018 with 307 rooms. Facilities will include Dusit’s well-known Benjarong Restaurant and an 18th-floor panoramic restaurant, as well as the signature Devarana Spa.
“We feel it is an excellent time to enter this new market, as prospects are exciting and political stability is back in place here in Tunisia,” said Dusit’s managing director and CEO Mr. Chanin Donavanik. “We expect the market to recover sharply and are very pleased to work with local hospitality pioneers, Société de Tourisme Samara, to bring a Dusit Thani resort to beautiful Sousse.”
