Dusit has been appointed to manage a new hotel in China that will be designed to resemble a castle.
Through its Chinese joint venture, Dusit Fudu Hotels & Resorts, the company has penned a management contract with the Everfashion Group for the unique Dusit Thani Castle Fushun, in the northeastern Chinese province of Liaoning.
The hotel will form part of the Hot Go Entertainment Park, a new 3.5km² attraction that will also include a theme park, water park, ski resort, 18-hole golf course, hot springs and luxury villas. Once fully completed in 2017, the park is expected to attract up to 80,000 visitors per day.
“In keeping with our aggressive expansion plan in China, we are pleased to have this iconic hotel in our portfolio,” said, Lim Boon Kwee, president of Dusit Fudu. “Dusit Thani Castle Fushun… will set a benchmark of service, quality and excellence in the local hospitality industry.”
Scheduled to open in January 2017, the Dusit Thani Castle Fushun will offer 450 rooms, three restaurants, a rooftop bar, indoor swimming pool, gymnasium, kid’s club and a shopping arcade. It will also offer a significant amount of meeting space, with a ballroom and several meeting rooms.
