European aerospace giant, EADS, has emerged as a potential sponsor for the redevelopment of Bangkok’s Don Mueang airport. The Bangkok Post reported that the company is among several international operators that have proposed to invest and operate facilities at the hub. Six new uses have been outlined for the aging airport; a maintenance centre for small and medium-sized aircraft; a maintenance centre for landing gear of narrow-bodied aircraft; an aircraft parts stock management centre; a flight simulator facility; an international free-trade zone; and a private jet/air taxi terminal.
