Hilton Shanghai has also become the first hotel in Shanghai to completely ban harmful trans-fats from its menus, and offer nutritionally-balanced meal choices as part of its newly-launched -”Eat Right!” initiative.
“We don’t believe that health and wellness should take a back seat just because one is traveling on business - that was the impetus behind the integration of our health club and spa in 2004 and also our new Eat Right initiative,” said General Manager, Guy Hutchinson.
Hilton Shanghai’s “Eat Right!” provides nutrition-conscious menu options promoting organic ingredients and reduced saturated fats, cholesterol, carbohydrates and calories. Trans fats, known to increase the risk of coronary heart disease, have been replaced with healthier substitutes in all in-house dishes and deli products. All ingredients used are gluten free.
