Elephant kills visitor at Mumbai zoo

A man was killed at South Mumbai’s Byculla Zoo on Sunday after entered an elephant enclosure. According to a Times of India report, the man climbed a wall to break into the elephant’s enclosure and unlocked a metal gate releasing the pachyderm. The 56 year-old elephant then attacked, picking the man up with its trunk. The man was reported to be known to authorities, regularly consuming drugs near the zoo.
