Emergency landing for Indonesian passenger plane

A Merpati Nusantara Airlines aircraft carrying more than 100 passengers has made an emergency landing in the Indonesian province of Central Kalimantan. The Antara news agency reported that the Fokker 100 aircraft, flying to Surabaya, returned to Haji Asan Sampit airport in East Kotawaringin, after experiencing an engine failure shortly after take-off. The plane landed safely and no-one on board was injured. The airline has sent for engineers from Jakarta to repair the aircraft.
