Emirates Airline launched its third daily non-stop flight from Manchester to Dubai on Sunday, bringing its total seat capacity from the north of England to 1,182 seats per day. Passengers flying on the new EK022 service, which departs at 9.40am each day, were each presented with a box of complimentary commemorative chocolates. Three contained a lucky gold star, giving the recipients and their travelling party the chance to relax in the dedicated Emirates Lounge before their flight. The new service, operated by an Airbus A330-200, combined with the Airbus A380 superjumbo introduction onto the route in September 2010, has seen Emirates increase its Manchester capacity by nearly 40 per cent in the last eight months.”We have experienced a continued growth in demand for our services from Manchester to Dubai and beyond, from both business and leisure travellers across the region,” said Laurie Berryman, Emirates’ Vice President UK & Ireland.”This growth has allowed us to make significant investments to increase our operation from the North West with more services and larger aircraft. Manchester is a key player in the ongoing success of our UK network and long may it continue.”The new service is operated by a three-class aircraft, seating 12 First Class, 42 Business Class and 183 Economy Class passengers.
