tes will deploy its Airbus A380 aircraft to Johannesburg next year, as it upgrades one of its four daily flights to the South African city.
Effective 1 February 2017, flights EK761 and EK762 will be switched from a Boeing 777 aircraft to the double-decker A380.

Emirates will deploy the 516-seat, three-class version of its A380 on the route, which offers 14 seats in first class, 76 in business class and 426 in economy. Once launched, Jo’burg will join more than 40 destinations in Emirates’ global A380 network, and become its first on the African continent.
The Dubai-based carrier first started flying to South Africa 21 years ago. In addition to its four daily flights to Johannesburg, it also offers three daily services to Cape Town and a daily flight to Durban. All of Emirates’ South African services, including the new A380 flights, are operated as codeshare with South African Airways.
