A hotel in Essex will be won by a current or budding hotelier through a prize draw where tickets cost £1,000.
The 14-bedroom Hotel Continental in Harwich is the prize in a draw announced by owners Gordon and Blossom Hoyles, who have previously appeared on Channel 4 programme ‘Four in a Bed’.
The couple are looking to sell-up after 18 years of running the hotel, which is thought to be worth £1 million.
“We want to go out with a bang and for the lucky prize draw winner to win the prize of a lifetime,” said poet and entrepreneur Gordon Hoyles. “After 18 years running The Hotel Continental we feel it has come of age and it is time for us to leave home. In addition we have been told that it could take up to two years to find a buyer and we don’t have that much time to wait.”
The couple first announced a prize draw in September 2014 but has now set up a dedicated website at www.winahotel.co.uk with a draw expected to take place on 1 May.
The hotel attracts locals and cruise passengers looking to extend their stay.
