Ethiopian Airlines awarded global recognition by WEF

Ethiopian Airlines has been awarded the Certificate of Global Growth for 2015 by the World Economic Forum.
The airline was among 132 high-growth companies that were nominated based on their potential to become global economic leaders.
Ethiopian was chosen from a broad spectrum of sectors, including banking, energy and aviation that share a track record of “exceeding industry standards
in revenue growth, promotion of innovative business practices and demonstration of leadership in corporate global citizenship”.
The Global Growth Companies Community consists of 400 companies from around the world.
Tewolde Gebremariam, group CEO of Ethiopian Airlines, said: “We are honoured to receive the certificate of Global Growth Company of 2015 and to join the exclusive club of Global Growth Companies selected by the World Economic Forum … The award is an appreciation to the leading role Ethiopian is playing in the constant development of air transport services in Africa.”
