Etihad Airways highlights innovation for the future

The mantra for competitive advantage according to Etihad Airways is to transform, innovate and collaborate.
This ideology was highlighted to vendors from more than 500 local and global businesses who were attending the airline’s annual vendor symposium.
The event was attended by board members of Etihad Aviation Group and Etihad Airways, HE Khaleefa Salem Al Mansouri.
Adil Al Mulla, vice president procurement and supply management of Etihad Airways, said: “We have embarked on an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) business transformation for our procurement model and processes. This will reap vital benefits for the airline and serve wider objectives of Abu Dhabi’s 2030 vision.”
He further highlighted the airline’s on-going efforts to increase joint procurement activities with its equity partner airlines.
Al Mulla further added: “Working with our equity partners enables us to build integrated networks and schedules, develop common products and services, and most importantly identify business and cost synergies.”
