Etihad Airways has launched its maiden flight from Abu Dhabi to Moscow. The five weekly services to the Russian capital will be followed by a new service to the Kazakhstan commercial capital Almaty, which starts on today, bringing the total number of destinations served by the carrier to 50.
James Hogan, Etihad Airways’ Chief Executive, said; “Since we announced this route earlier in the year, we have seen strong interest in it, both from UAE travellers and from customers transitting through our Abu Dhabi hub.”
The Moscow flights will be operated by Etihad’s Airbus A320, able to carry 140 passengers.
