Etihad marks fifth anniversary of Muscat route launch

Etihad Airways has celebrated the fifth anniversary of its service between Abu Dhabi and Muscat, Oman.The airline commenced operations to Muscat in March 2006 with daily flights and today operates three flights per day, reflecting the strength of the route. Muscat now ranks as one of the top performing destinations in the GCC market for the airline.James Hogan, Etihad Airways’ CEO, said: “Muscat is a key market for Etihad and an important business and leisure destination for our customers. We anticipate continued strong demand for our Muscat services from within the GCC, as well as from guests leveraging the convenient connections to and from the Far East, Europe and America.”Etihad operates A319 and A320 aircraft on the route.
