Etihad Airways has signed a new codeshare agreement with Malaysia Airlines.
Under the deal, the Abu Dhabi-based airline will place its ‘EY’ code on MAS flights between Kuala Lumpur, and the Malaysian destinations of Kota Kinabalu, Penang, Kuching and Langkawi.
In turn, Malaysia Airlines will place its ‘MH’ code on Etihad-operated services between Abu Dhabi and Manama, Doha and Muscat. The MAS agreement is Etihad’s tenth codeshare deal.
MAS Managing Director and Chief Executive, Idris Jala, said; “This codeshare arrangement with Etihad is timely as Malaysia is a favourite destination for visitors from the Middle East.”
