From 1 August 2015, the new aircraft will offer passengers on the Abu Dhabi-Singapore route three different cabin classes, including its new first and business class products and revamped economy class seats. Services will operate daily with night flights on both legs.
“The new schedule timings, with evening departures in both directions, will offer guests in the UAE and Singapore more convenient travel times and improved connectivity to 35 destinations in the GCC, Middle East, Africa and Europe,” explained Etihad’s president & CEO, James Hogan.
“Most importantly, from a guest experience perspective, the dimensions and unique features of the Dreamliner aircraft have enabled us to customise it with the most innovative and sophisticated cabins. This means, from 1 August, travellers between Abu Dhabi and Singapore will experience levels of comfort and attention to detail not enjoyed previously by today’s air traveller or offered by our competitors on the route.”
Etihad’s 235-seat B787-9 features eight ‘First Suites’, 28 ‘Business Studios’ and 199 ‘Economy Smart’ seats, all of which offer in-flight entertainment, power outlets and Wi-Fi.
From 1 August, the new schedule will see flights depart Abu Dhabi daily at 2200, arriving at Singapore’s Changi Airport at 1015 the next morning. The return flight will then take off at 2010, getting back into Abu Dhabi at 2345.
Etihad has flown to Singapore since September 2007 and moved to a daily service on 1 February 2013.
