Etihad Airways has opened its European headquarters in Berlin to boost its presence in Germany.
The airline’s partnership with airberlin has also encouraged Etihad to open up in Potsdamer Platz where sales, marketing, reservation and ticking teams will be based. Etihad’s vice president Europe Joost den Hartog will lead the team with its general manager Germany Philip Lewin.
Etihad’s president and CEO James Hogan explained: “Germany remains a critically important part of Etihad Airways’ growing passenger and cargo network, and while much of Europe continues to face challenges linked to the prevailing euro crisis, the German inbound and outbound travel is performing well for us.”
