HIROSHI SHIMIZU has been appointed as Worldspan’s Commercial Head in Japan, South Korea and Guam. Shimizu joined Worldspan in 2007, and m most recently served as Business Development Manager (Supplier Services), Pacific.
JULIAN WALKER has been appointed Head of Corporate Communications for Travelport, based at the company’s UK headquarters. A former London insurance broker, Walker arrives from communications agency, Hogarth, where he was Managing Director.
FAUZI FIRDAUS has been named as the new General Manager of the Swiss-Belhotel Kendari, in Sulawesi, Indonesia. Prior to joining Swiss-Belhotel International, Firdaus served as the General Manager for the Comfort Hotel Dumai, Indonesia.
MADE WIDANA has been announced as the new General Manager of the Swiss-Belhotel Bay View, Nusa Dua, Bali. A 19-year industry veteran, Widana has previously worked with companies including Starwood, Carlson, Four Seaons and Alila.
CLEMENT KOH has been appointed Vice President Sales & Marketing for GHM. Koh, who speaks both English and Mandarin, was formerly Vice President Sales & Marketing – Asia Pacific for The Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group.
GIRI RAF TIMSHINA has been appointed as Yoga Instructor at the Nam Hai resort, Vietnam. Timshina, who began his training in the Indian holy city of Varanasi, previously taught at Hotel Himalaya in Kathmandu and the Hyatt Regency Kathmandu.
BIANCA FAMERON has been named as the new Business Development Manager at the InterContinental Melbourne The Rialto. She joins the hotel from IHG’s Regional Sales Office, and has also worked at the Crowne Plaza Norwest, NSW.
TREVOR STEVENS has been announced as the new Director of Food & Beverage for the Sheraton Saigon Hotel & Towers. Stevens arrives at the hotel from Shangri-la Penang in Malaysia, where he also served as Director of F&B.
NATTHAYA SUWANNARAT has been appointed Associate Director of Sales for the Grand Hyatt Erawan Bangkok. The move marks a promotion for Thai national Ms Suwannarat, who had served as Sales Manager at the hotel since 2005.
SURANYA PHONEPRASERT has been announced as Associate Director of Sales for the Grand Hyatt Erawan Bangkok. A Thai national, Ms Phoneprasert has been with the hotel since October 2004, previously serving as Sales Manager.
WINNIE LOW has been announced as the new Executive Assistant Manager of the Orchard Hotel Singapore. Ms Low has more than 20 years experience, and returns to Singapore following four years in China with IHG and Shangri-La Hotels & Resorts.
