Exotissimo Travel has launched a new 6-day Indonesia tour that combines soft adventure with exotic animal encounters and rare cultural insights. Traversing through the north of Sumatra, participants will experience a land of visible diversity apparent in everything from the spoken languages to the colorful terrain. Relatively undiscovered Exotissimo have crafted a program that goes in search of untamed Sumatra.
A destination that embodies the very spirit of adventure, Exo created a signature tour to cover the highlights of this veritable playground and more. Beginning in Medan, travelers will explore the architecture of the city that expresses much about Sumatra’s history. On the second day of this Indonesia tour the itinerary picks up pace with elephant rides and 4×4 rides through the dense jungle, with the additional option of white water rafting.
Meet and greet the renowned Sumatran orangutans in their natural habitats, a momentous occasion for anyone visiting the island. Venture out and explore the vast lake Toba by traditional boat, surrounded by gigantic volcanoes travelers will experience the raw and dramatic beauty of Sumatra.
Visit Ambarita whose villagers are known for making chairs and tables out of stone, stop at Simanindo village and enjoy performance of Batak Toba traditional ‘Tor-Tor’ dance. Clients will have the option to visit a local school where they can immerse themselves in local culture when meeting the youth of Sumatra. As well as this, travelers will encounter friendly locals at vibrant markets selling exotic fruits and traditional wears, savor the exotic aromas of Indonesia cuisine and experience the warm hospitality of these people.
Indonesian Product Manager, Dorothee Viot said, “We are really excited about this product. When creating the program we wanted to combine elements of ethical, adventurous and cultural travel to showcase the real Sumatra and offer clients an authentic introduction to what this superb island has to offer. It is a great introduction to Sumatra and a good alternative to our Best of Sumatra tour that would be nicely complemented by a beach break within the archipelago”.
Consisting of rugged mountains, untamed jungle and meandering rivers, the world’s sixth largest island is the stuff of intrepid fantasy. Situated deep within the Indian Ocean this 6-day tour promises eye-opening encounters with enigmatic locals and experiences unique to this part of the world.
Viot continues, “The islands interior lends its self perfectly to travelers in search of adventure, pair this with an experienced local guide and some creative planning and you have a first-class action packed holiday in Indonesia”.
