Expansion continues for DoubleTree

DoubleTree by Hilton has continued its expansion with several new openings in Europe and Australia.
The hotel brand is to make its Lisbon debut this summer by converting the Fontant Park Hotel into the DoubleTree by Hilton Lisbon – Fontana Park.
Patrick Fitzgibbon, senior vice president of development, Europe & Africa, Hilton Worldwide, said, “This is a major coup. Not only are we bringing one of Europe’s hottest hotel brands to Portugal for the first time, we are doing so in the capital city, while also demonstrating the strength of our portfolio with this becoming our third brand in the country.”
In addition the brand is to open its first hotels in Australia on 1 May by rebranding four hotels in the Northern Territory.
The Darwin and Alice Springs properties and will be the 30th country the brand will operate in.
