The Opportunity
Working alongside a national sales, Account Management, Bid Writers and Legal Teams, we are looking to appoint a Pricing & Contract analyst into our Large Market business
Given the contracted nature of the group this role will have significant impact on protecting and growing the business.
What you will be doing
Analytics for our pricing and customer contracting function
Ensuring business strategy is implemented through our pricing and contracting function
Being heavily involved in the pre contracting process by developing strategic pricing models and understanding any unique aspects each customer requires
Working within a team to manage the contract lifecycle from negotiation, execution and any commercial amendments
Continuing to develop commercial models to understand the profitability of various offerings to customers and develop tracking to understand ongoing contract viability
Preparing the pricing models for the new and renewing customers
Proactively raise opportunities to commercialise aspects of the business into the future
Input into pricing strategy for the group
Develop data sets to track contract performance to expectations
Working closely with Sales, customer retention, management and legal teams to ensure contract pricing aligns to the objectives of the group
Pro-actively seeking on-going improvements and efficiencies in all activities, focusing on customer satisfaction, growth, contract administration, and risk
Creation and maintenance of strong relationships with internal stakeholders nationally and globally. Including, working with the global teams to implement one best way moving forward.
Who you are
You are an energetic customer centric commercial thinker with proven analytical skills that is able to liaise with all levels of management and across functions. You’re someone who is genuinely passionate about owning a contracting process, interpreting high volumes of data to provide insights, and have a proven ability to price and provide commercial insight into B2B contracts.  You are also proactive and have an ability to manage deadlines as well as think outside of the box to solve complex problems.
Over 5 years experience in a similar role
CA / CPA qualification or another relevant post graduate qualification, or working towards
High level of ownership
High attention to detail
Ability to review, interpret, identify risks and devise strategies to mitigate risks in respect of existing and proposed contracts
Ability to review contracts with both customers and suppliers in a manner which protects the company and to fairly allocate risk
Proven track record of contract process management from initial scoping through to signing
Advanced time management and prioritisation skills
Advanced analytical and problem solving skills
Able to communicate complex financial information simplistically
Ability to interpret commercial outcomes of contractual wording
Advanced experience using financial systems in a commercial environment e.g. Excel, Powerpoint, Power BI
Experience in B2B high highly transactional and contracted business would be advantageous but not necessary
