Job Description

Working as part of a dynamic Salesforce team in one of the leading Salesforce orgs in Australia, the aim for this role is to identify and strategically eliminate technical debt, with the ultimate outcome of delivering a business process automation tool that increases business profitability and performance.

As an Analyst – Project Lead, the successful candidate will be responsible for the following elements of Salesforce development:

Project Management

  • Formulate, prioritise and maintain a strategic roadmap to reduce and ultimately eliminate technical debt
  • Monitor lifecycle of current products, ensuring if the product is due for replacement, treat it as such and only address truly mission critical bugs / defects
  • Monitor engagement, usage, functionality fit, errors and issues to help determine technical debt register and priority
  • Maintain transparency by ensuring management are aware of the debt at hand and progress of technical debt projects
  • Communicate project statuses on a weekly basis via reporting and as needed to key stakeholders and members of the global and country-based teams to ensure project and business needs are met
  • Manage end to end project delivery of assigned projects
  • Report measurement of efficiency gains and ROI statistics
  • Work within and maintain project budget/s

Business Analysis

  • Identify and document detailed business requirements and solutions
  • Facilitate requirements workshops, documenting detailed functional, technical, reporting & data requirements
  • Assist in the design of solutions
  • Produce estimates for communication and sign off by stakeholder
  • Add and update project information within the Salesforce.com system using Mission Control application, at all times keeping information current
  • Raise any issues and risks with team leader
  • Manage stakeholder expectations
  • Work with the team and team leader to continually improve the project process
  • Work within Governance and Architectural standards
  • Participate & assist in facilitating regular weekly Global Governance meetings with all relevant regions, and Project Leads as required
  • Draft technical solutions that meet functional requirements
  • Translate functional requirements into conceptual and detailed design documents demonstrating sound rationale in making design decisions
  • Perform system configuration activities including data analysis as well as guide team members
  • Governance & Level 3 Support Function

Configuration & Testing

  • Maintain expert level Salesforce.com product knowledge
  • Configure and maintain project solutions in the appropriate system(s)
  • Test project solutions and progression through development, staging and production instances
  • Assess the accuracy of new functionality being implemented

Accountabilities

  • Groom technical debt backlog
  • Lead technical debt projects
  • Manage project deadlines & change requests
  • Ensure projects are on track
  • Escalate issues affecting timelines and stakeholder satisfaction
  • Keep project information up to date
  • Issue weekly reports to key stakeholders
  • Task team members in conjunction with team leader
  • Chase progress of tasks
  • Respond to ad hoc project questions within 24-48hrs
  • Accurately log project hours in the system
  • Monitor customer satisfaction of delivered projects
  • Gather and document high level and detailed level requirements
  • Work with the global Lighthouse team to ensure the best solution is sought and implemented
  • Ensure design meets user and business needs
  • Document proposed solution
  • Manage stakeholder expectations
  • Build requirements where Salesforce.com configuration is required
  • Assess the accuracy of new functionality being implemented
  • Governance
    • Conduct pre-deployment release review to ensure the best solution is sought and implemented for any existing or future builds
    • Document and create new reference guides in line with releases and or deployments
    • Ensure cases that have been escalated to the Global Queues and assigned are resolved within SLA

Preferable Skills/Experience

  • 5+ years of relevant experience in Salesforce.com
  • Experience in project delivery
  • Experience in business analysis
  • Highly skilled in communication and documentation
  • Strong knowledge of enterprise issues related to IT architecture
  • Experience in defining, detailing and scoping the technical requirements into solution with the ability to drive and deliver projects
