From June 5, Cathay Pacific Airways will add a fourth weekly direct flight between Hong Kong and Penang in Malaysia, serving passengers on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays and Sundays.
Quoting the airline’s Penang manager Cheuk Lo, The Star said its existing flights from the Malaysian state to Hong Kong via Kuala Lumpur on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Saturdays remained unchanged.
“In future, we hope to have daily non-stop flights to Hong Kong because Penang is quite popular among Hong Kong travellers due to the cultural and language similarities as well as the cheap and tasty hawker fare offered,” he was quoted saying.
