Extra safety measures for Airbus A330s

European regulators ordered airlines flying the Airbus A330 with Rolls-Royce engines to take extra precautionary measures to reduce the chances of ice building up in fuel systems. According to a Bloomberg report, the European Aviation Safety Agency ruling follows advice given by Airbus. Around half the global fleet of around 600 A330s flying today, about half are equipped with Rolls-Royce engines, the report stated.
